Dhanyamlakizhi
Dhanyamlakizhi is an Ayurvedic therapy that involves a massage with warm herbal poultices. The poultices are filled with a mixture of grains, herbs, and spices that have been soaked in a fermented liquid called Dhanyamla.
Dhanyamla is made by fermenting a mixture of grains, herbs, and spices in water for several days. The resulting liquid is acidic and is believed to have numerous health benefits, including improving digestion, promoting detoxification of the body, and reducing inflammation.
During the therapy, the warm poultices are gently pressed and massaged over the body, focusing on specific areas of tension or pain. The warmth and pressure of the poultices help to increase circulation, relieve muscle tension and stiffness, and promote relaxation.
Dhanyamlakizhi is often used to treat musculoskeletal disorders such as arthritis, joint pain, and muscle tension. It is also believed to help improve digestion, reduce stress, and promote detoxification of the body.
